Sponsored by the Ticknor Society; open to members of other FABS societies
Join Archivist Brittany Contratto via Zoom for a virtual, behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum of Science Archives. In 2017, Bloomberg Philanthropies generously provided funding for the first archives department in the Museum’s nearly 200-year history. The Archives traces the Museum’s development from the venerable Boston Society of Natural History, founded in 1830, to the multifaceted educational institution that the Museum of Science is today. Learn how Archives staff are actively working to improve access to the Museum’s collections, including holdings on the Linnaean Society, the Computer Museum, the Computer Clubhouse Network, the Trailside Museum, and other New England cultural heritage organizations.
