The original concept behind FABS was for member societies to welcome each other at their events. The Book Club of California carried on this tradition in February 2022 by hosting a reception at the 54th California International Book Fair in Oakland.
Guests from FABS societies included members of The Caxton Club, the Florida Bibliophile Society, The Grolier Club, The Manuscript Society, The Roxburghe Club of San Francisco and The Zamorano Club.
We hope to see more such opportunities for fellowship and book-talk as in-person book fairs and other events become possible again. In the meantime, many thanks to the Book Club of California for your hospitality!
